Meet the Blackout Leather Productions Board of Directors
Tobin Britton has been a long term and active member of the Tribe. He finds his home in Portland, Oregon where he launched himself head first into working with memberships in such groups as Portland Leather Alliance, Rose City Discussion Club, Blackout Leather Productions and Bad Girls. Tobin also served as Parade Coordinator and President for 5 years of Pride Northwest streamlining many aspects of Portland’s large pride festival and parade that still stand today. Tobin stepped up as Ms Oregon State Leather 2001 as well as served the leather community on a national level as American Leatherwoman 2002 which afforded him the honor of traveling the country as well as abroad as judge, tallymaster, judges boy and contestant handler for numerous large and small titles. Tobin has presented on such topics as knife play, race play, playing with your inner monster and D/s dynamics for many clubs and organizations throughout the country. He currently serves as President of Blackout Leather Productions, the organization responsible for producing the Mr/Ms Oregon State/Oregon State Bootblack and newly added to the family of titles, The Oregon State Puppy! As well as President and founding member of The Boiys In Leather Service-Rose City, a volunteer group based on serving its various communities through volunteer service. Tobin is honored to head the Britton Clan of two fab boys(Justin(his wife AND boy) & Spike), his sexy pet Karen and her boy Sara, Valet Jeeves and his promised one. Tobin is humbled that his years of hard work we’re recognized by his peers with a Pantheon nomination for Woman of the Year in 2004 and the award for Northwest Regional Pantheon in 2013. Tobin has been featured on the Logo Channel's queer travel show "Roundtrip Ticket" when Portland, Oregon was the destination to talk about leather culture. In 2013 Tobin had the most humbling year to date being asked to judge IML 36, American Brotherhood Weekend and signing on Staff with the International Ms Leather organization as the Seduction Coordinator! No rest for a sadist!
Justin started his journey in the queer and leather worlds when he burst onto the scene volunteering his time with Pride NW as secretary and Co-Parade Coordinator before he learned that service was his heart's desire. Since that time he's discovered he had a boy side and is a collared boy to his Daddy, Tobin Britton (2001 Ms. Oregon State Leather, 2002 American Leatherwoman). He gives of his time and serves his community currently as the Vice President and a founding member of the Boys/Bois in Leather Service - Rose City and Treasurer for Blackout Leather Productions, the organization that produces the Mr. and Ms. Oregon State Leather, Oregon State Bootblack, and Oregon State Puppy Contests. Justin recently stepped up further by serving as Chair of the 2014 Oregon Leather Pride committee, whose multi-group collaboration insures a successful Leather Pride Week. Justin is true switch in being collared to his Daddy with whom he shares co-ownership of boy Spike, and is also Alpha Boy to his Daddy’s House. When he’s not serving his community he can be found serving his Daddy, teaching and playing with their boy, and living out his racing dreams on his xbox 360, which is how he ended up as Mama’s Speedracer. Be careful though about asking him how he wound up with his 2nd Mama’s name…Mama’s Chomper.
Gary grew up in New York City, and then lived near the shores of Lake Erie before moving to Oregon in 1995. Somewhere while moving up the corporate ladder as a vice president of a bank based in Buffalo NY, Gary started to become allergic to three piece pinstripe suits and came out of the closet at age 29. After leaving the banking world, Gary changed careers and publicly began wearing his vest, boots & studded belts at work in his new career as "not your average tethered leathered librarian". Gary actively wears his leathers while attending conferences & volunteering on various committees of the American Library Association, including its nationwide LGBT unit.
